Our Team.
We are the panel solicitors for the developer Jebudi Sdn. Bhd. and continuously handle UEM-Sunrise Group’s projects. We continue to serve the existing clientele of YC Yeow & Associates.
History of legal experience of coming to 30 years from Chamber until present

Admission
Admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 31 December 1993
Litigation
Started chambering with M/s Azzat & Izzat doing litigation in particular execution proceedings and in areas of loan/debt recovery, foreclosure, bankruptcy and winding up proceedings.
Loan documentation
Thereafter started early practice in loan documentation with M/s Wang Kuo Shing & Co drafting facilities agreements and trade finance documentation before the bank standardised all loan documentation.
Corporate
Joined M/s Nik Saghil & Ismail and M/s Rashid & Lee (now known as Shahrizat, Rahid & Lee) to gain exposure in corporate work, inter alia, sale and purchase of assets, shares and businesses, joint-venture, initial public offer of shares (“IPOs”), company secretarial work, corporate banking and financing, corporate restructuring and advised on regulatory requirements and foreign investment matter. Geik Khuan headed the due diligence team for the Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad’s rationalisation of business activities and operations.
Banking and Conveyancing

Made a come-back on banking and conveyancing in her later years of law practice law after discovering her passion in drafting.

Advised developers, banks, companies and individuals in respect of drafting, reviewing and commenting on the terms of joint venture, sale and purchase of shares, sale and purchase agreement, deed of mutual covenants, letters of undertaking and drafting Wills.

With her wealth of legal knowledge and long experience in various areas of legal works she joined as a partner in YC Yeow & Associates and was in partnership with Ms Yeow for more than 7 years until Ms Yeow decided to migrate overseas and dissolved the firm of YC Yeow & Associates on 31 May 2016 and all the existing files were transferred to the present firm of M/s Ong & Yim Associates. Geik Khuan and Yim Yen Fatt (who was then the legal assistant in YC Yeow & Associates) established a new legal firm known as M/s Ong & Yim Associates on 1 June 2016 until present. Boh Yeok Hun joined us as a partner since July 2018.

About
More than forty (40) years working experience with law firms since 1984. She was a Secretary to Senior Legal Assistant in the then Messrs Rashid & Lee (now known as Messrs Shahrizat, Rashid & Lee) for seventeen (17) years. Throughout this period, she was exposed widely to all types of security documentation for Commercial Banks, various developers project. In addition, I am also has some exposure to some corporate works. During the time with the firm she was also actively involved in the training of junior secretaries and assisted the senior partners in some of the corporate litigation matters as well as housing projects. Between 1997 and 2000 while with the firm, she went through part-time studies and obtained the Advance Diploma in Business. In 2005 she obtained the Bachelor of Laws Degree from University of Norththumbria, UK and in 2007 she obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice. From January 2008 she underwent pupillage with Messrs Tan Kim Soon & Co. During pupillage she assisted the senior partner and was exposed to some of the corporate litigation matters and conveyancing matters. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor on 24/07/2009. Prior to Messrs Ong & Yim Associates she practiced as a legal assistant in Messrs TS Liew, Nurzila & Partners and as a Partner in Messrs ST Lim & Boh. With her experiences she brings to the firm her wealth of legal knowledge and long experience in various areas of legal works.
